'The Tsunami and the Slogan for change’

‘The Tsunami and the Slogan for change’

The Dark days and nights in the city of Lights were over after the strong reactions from across the whole country. But still justice yet to be given against the criminality acts which are still going on e.g. (bank robbery, mobile snatching, murders etc). It is obvious that people who spend their lives in this City for making things in life better for others as well for themselves now remain at their homes with their grandchildren and watch T.V. mostly. What they have left now are only memories of past which they still recall it even today. Pakistan which has a huge history of Martial Laws decade after decade that is why as both the country and people been suffered a lot. Including the track records of civil governments didn’t turn out at the level expectations in view of people.
Loss of so many lives in the Violence of Karachi last year during the ‘Holy month of Ramadan’ which is greatly regretful while people were demanding Martial Law for the controlling Law and order situation at that time. The amount of frustration was unbearable because of the massacre and the clash among the political parties. Even Police and Rangers weren’t enough to be trusted by the people for providing safety.
We read Pakistan’s history in our text books that Pakistan was made on the basis of Two-Nation theory and fourteen points of Qauid-e-Azam. After independence Pakistan haven’t been able to produce sincere leaders for its people whom have now caused more uncertainties in both foreign countries and domestically. It’s only needs realization among people for making this country strong and work as united for better future. But Pakistan has always been the headlines on both foreign and local channels whether it’s a ‘war against terrorism’ or ‘Safety of nuclear assets’. Since one man decided to came out for his country and merely for his people after winning the trophy of 1992 cricket world cup. No need to guess his name though but his name is Imran Khan. After the successful foundation of Shuakat Khanum hospital for Cancer patients in Pakistan and the emergence of his new political Party which did stuns everyone. We may have the right to blame any political party leaders in future that these politicians might turn out into same old corrupt crooks whenever they enter in politics. But the word ‘CHANGE’ comes at time which severely requires serious attention whereas government, military and judiciary several others institutions are almost at brink. As now the youth of Pakistan as well as the people of Pakistan has spoken out for ‘change’ joining hands with one voice only.

The Jalsa of Karachi was one of the unique examples for the whole country which surprised everybody.  Approx 4 lac people participated in the Peace Jalsa PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) in Karachi held on 25th of Dec, 2011 at Bagh-e-Quaid adjacent to mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

However If we get into a debate related to issues within our country faced by our people it is certain in everybody’s view to find solutions for them which we have never been successful that much. Lack of sincerity is not seen in leaders or politicians but in among us as well. Since the current situation raise concern in the country especially when it comes to those issues which are still unresolved. Some of us may have lost hope for the future but this doesn’t mean it’s the end in fact, now it’s about time to say ‘no more running away’. Only if we put our differences aside then they are no possibilities that we can’t stand as united and help out each other. In the history of this planet many nations suffered through time of misery but they managed to rebuild their country somehow. Simply we could take the example of Japan in which of their two cities were gone in matter of seconds when the explosions of Atomic bombs were blasted over Hiroshima and Nagasaki during the end of ‘WWII’.
Whereas, Pakistan and its people only needs the will to move on further towards development in education both religious and secular. Especially hospitals should be staffed with well qualified doctors and provide patients with certified medicines.
We still have time to think about what we can change because it is our right to vote for the right people whom we think they deserve to be given a chance.

  1. CHANGE! Yes, a fine word, but it is in action that words are blessed.

The whole world of nature is changing. In southern half of planet, tree are giving up their leaves. I northern, trees are coming alive once again, in annual praise to God.

And WE! We humans can change ourselves from within, then begin to help others to change, on Peep at a time.

AWARENESS--that change is desired and needed

    OPEN MINDS--to adopt other behaviors

WILLINGNESS--To follow through, to DO IT!

And--not alone--but with God's help, it can be done, has been done throughout history. It IS, as you wrote, not left to the youth to bring this about. When all is gone of Creation, ONE remaining attribute left will be LOVE!

PEACE, my friend, who I do not know!
